We’ve been thinking about a graphic design contest. Yet, we’re also not trying to confuse the Inkd product offering with spec work sites. I thought Jacob over at justcreativedesign wrote a pretty good article on this topic titled The “Pros” and Cons of Spec Work. It’s worth a read. In fact, his whole blog is a pretty good graphic design resource.

Check it out! Issue 58 of Advanced Photoshop reaches US shores this July and Inkd is in it! The article starts on page 72 and illustrates various websites like Inkd where graphic designers can earn money and gain exposure for free. Says Koh Chung Chek, “The reason we promote ourselves is to let more people understand and appreciate our art. Therefore, social relationships play a great role in this.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves and this is why Inkd enables ANY visitor to contact a designer directly.
